Organized by the Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing (referred to as CIBR), the third Beijing Brain Conference will be held in Beijing from August 16th to 18th, 2024. Held biennially since 2020, the Beijing Brain Conference is a high-end international academic exchange event in the field jointly created by CIBR in collaboration with domestic and international neuroscience research institutions. The 2024 Beijing Brain Conference will be held offline for the first time, with Nature Portforlio and Institute of Development and Genetics, Chinese Academy of Science as Co-Organizers. This year, the conference will focus on the state of the art in neuroscience research, organizing four thematic forums on Basic Principles in Brain Connection and Function, Neural Computation and Neuroengineering, Integrative Neuroscience, and Neurological Disorders and Translational Neuroscience, as well as a Youth Forum. More than 40 leading scientists and outstanding young scholars from home and abroad will attend the conference, including Dr. Charles M. Lieber (Harvard University, Member of the National Academy of Sciences), Dr. Scott Sternson (University of California, San Diego), Dr. Qiufu Ma (Westlake University), Dr. Hanchuan Peng (Southeast University), Dr. Hongwei Dong (University of California, Los Angeles), Dr. Takeshi Sakurai (University of Tsukuba), and Dr. Sangram Sisodia (University of Chicago).
