In October 2018, CIBR was officially approved to establish a postdoctoral research station, becoming the first unit among Beijing's innovated R&D institutions to receive this qualification.

In May and July 2019, CIBR cooperated with Peking University and Tsinghua University, respectively, to jointly carry out postdoctoral recruitment.

In April 2020, based on its own development needs and referring to the relevant conditions and requirements for national postdoctoral recruitment, the institute innovated its mechanism and explored the establishment of a "self-recruited postdoctoral" system.

In October 2021, due to certain achievements in postdoctoral training, the institute received high recognition from the National Postdoctoral Management Committee and the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and the postdoctoral research station was successfully approved to independently recruit postdoctoral researchers.
