CIBR Holds 2025 Opening Ceremony to Welcome New Students

On September 2, the Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing (CIBR) in Beijing held its 2025 Opening Ceremony. The event was hosted by Dr. Wei Xiong, CIBR Principal Investigator and Chair of the Training and Advisory Committee. Twenty-six PIs, technical platform directors, and student advisors attended the ceremony to welcome the incoming students and mark the beginning of their research journey.
Director Minmin Luo delivered an opening address, followed by Professor Ikue Mori, who spoke on behalf of the faculty mentors, extending warm welcomes and high expectations for the new cohort. Yixing Shi, a senior student representative, shared insights and reflections from her own research experience at CIBR, offering valuable advice to the newcomers. Yanyan Zhao, speaking on behalf of the new students, expressed her enthusiasm and aspirations for studying at CIBR. Her heartfelt speech fostered a deeper sense of belonging and motivation among the incoming class.
