CIBR Launched the Junior Faculty Mentoring Program 2021-03-29
On 22nd March, 2021—— the third anniversary of the Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing (CIBR), Dr. Luo Minmin, the Co-Director of CIBR as well as the Office Director of JFMP, signed the first batch of mentoring agreements, officially marks the start of the Junior Faculty Mentoring Program (JFMP).

The JFMP is initiated to support the sustainable development of young scientists in terms of intellectual development, research advancement, resource support, tenure promotion, academic networking and leadership training.
It was first conceived by the International Advisory Board (IAB) of CIBR during the Beijing Brain Conference in 2020, and was approved on the CIBR Directors’ meeting in January 2021 after comprehensive investigation and planning.
Besides rules and regulations, CIBR has organized the Office of Faculty Development (OFD) to facilitate the operation of the Program. The Office, leading by the Director for CIBR faculty recruitment, is subordinate to the Scientific Research Affairs Office. It is responsible for the planning, organization, implementation and supervision of the JFMP, coordinating the participants in the program including leaderships, executive divisions, mentors and mentees.
The OFD will continuously improve its supporting services and standardize the application procedure for the Program, cultivating top-class scientists for major science programs in China.
