In September 2025, the IASP World Conference Changping Event officially commenced at Zhongguancun Life Science Park, turning the eyes of the global science and technology park community toward Beijing.

On the afternoon of September 17, 79 IASP delegates from 21 countries, including the United Kingdom, South Korea, Brazil, and Turkey, visited the Chinese Institute for Brain Research (CIBR). As a key stop on the scientific tour of this year’s IASP World Conference, CIBR showcased cutting-edge directions and advances in neuroscience, emerging as a prominent scientific landmark of the event.

IASP is the only global association with science and technology parks as its primary members, spanning 80 countries and over 300 member organizations. The 42nd IASP World Conference, held in Beijing in 2025, broke from its traditional agenda by introducing a dedicated Changping segment, which featured five scientific and cultural tours. Among them, CIBR, as a representative institution in the life sciences sector, attracted considerable attention and fostered in-depth exchanges with international attendees.

During the visit, delegates first watched an introductory video about CIBR, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the institute’s establishment background, research framework, and strategic priorities. As a new-type research institution prioritized and supported by the Beijing Municipal Government, CIBR focuses on four major research domains: fundamental mechanisms of brain cognition, major brain disorders, novel technologies in neuroscience, and neural computation with neural coding and decoding. It has established world-class research platforms dedicated to cutting-edge neuroscience and has produced a series of high-level research outcomes.
