To explore innovative talent training models and broaden the channels for students to understand CIBR, CIBR holds training schools every winter and summer vacation focusing on basic professional knowledge and cutting-edge research progress in neuroscience. Closely combined with the research work of CIBR's existing laboratories and technology centers, the training program will be taught by PIs in CIBR. With the goal of stimulating students' interest and cultivating future scientific research backbones, it helps students understand cutting-edge issues in the field, develop research ideas, and guide innovative thinking habits during the training.
CIBR welcome undergraduates (sophomores and above) or master's students (sophomores and above) from various disciplines such as biology, medicine, pharmacy, physics, mathematics, computer science, chemistry, electronic information and engineering who have a strong interest in neuroscience and cognitive science to actively apply. We will select outstanding students to enter the school program based on their background and application status.
I Organization

II Application and Selection
- Application Steps:

(2) Scan the following materials in order into a single PDF file. Name the email and attachment as "2026 Winter School Program Application Materials - Student Name - University" and send them to the email address: cibrstudent-apply@cibr.ac.cn.
① Application Form for 2026 Winter School Program of CIBR (Annex 1);
② Personal Statement (including personal academic background, previous research work, and plans and goals for future study and research) (Annex 2);
③ ID Card;
④ Student Status Certificate;
⑤ Bachelor's Degree Certificate and Graduation Certificate (if applicable);
⑥ Academic Transcripts of Bachelor's and Master's Programs (if applicable) (must be stamped with the official seal of the academic affairs department);
⑦ English Proficiency Certificate, such as copies of scores of CET-4, CET-6, TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, etc.;
⑧ Other supporting materials, such as academic dissertation (if applicable, title page and abstract page), title pages of representative academic papers or other original work achievements that reflect personal academic level, award certificates, etc.
2.Application Period: From now until November 28th.
3.After expert review and selection, the admission list will be announced on the official website of CIBR (https://cibr.ac.cn/#/cibrPersonnel/admissions) in mid-to-late December 2025.
III Main Activity Arrangements
The main purpose of this Winter School Program is to cultivate students' interest in neuroscience. Learning will be conducted mainly through short-term courses, visits, group discussions and other methods to promote students' learning and understanding of the main research directions and basic research methods of neuroscience. Outstanding students will receive an Excellent Student Certificate after completing the training.
IV Fees
No training fees will be charged to students for the Winter School Program, and CIBR will provide accommodation and meals for participating students.
