Our laboratory has long been dedicated to the study of growth factor receptors in the nervous system. Dr. Carlos Ibáñez is a Principal Investigator at the China Institute of Brain Science (CIBR) and also a Professor at the School of Life Sciences, Peking University. We are currently seeking one technician to support a project on Alzheimer’s disease (AD) drug discovery using human embryonic stem cell (ESC)-based organoid culture technology. This project uses AD organoid models derived from genetically engineered human ESCs to investigate the effects of small-molecule compounds targeting the p75 neurotrophin receptor (p75NTR) on AD pathological processes.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in ESC culture and organoid differentiation;

- Participate in molecular and cellular biology experiments;

- Record experimental data and maintain laboratory cell resources;

- Collaborate with postdoctoral fellows and the PI to complete project-related experimental tasks.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Medicine, or a related field;

- Proficiency in basic cell culture techniques; experience with ESC or organoid culture is preferred;

- Responsible, conscientious, and a good team player;

- Basic English reading and communication skills (able to understand experimental protocols and literature);

- Familiarity with neuroscience or Alzheimer’s disease research is preferred;

- Basic experience in molecular cloning or drug treatment experiments is preferred.
