Advances in brain science are closely driven by innovations in technology and instrumentation. The Instrumentation Core conducts research and development of advanced instruments and devices tailored to the cutting-edge needs of neuroscience. It also supports translational research and development of clinical technologies and medical devices for the diagnosis and treatment of brain disorders. In addition, the Core is responsible for the system integration of the implantable brain-machine interfaces (BMIs) developed at the Institute.
