We are interested in exploring the bi-directional communication between the nervous system and peripheral tumor. Our primary focus is to understand how peripheral changes caused by tumors disrupt neural circuits in the brain. Reciprocally, we investigate how manipulation of the sympathetic nervous system, which carries the majority of efferent signals from the brain to the body, influences peripheral tumor growth. The goal is to exploit vulnerabilities in neural signaling to develop more effective cancer therapies.
