Research Description

Laboratory Animal Resource Center (LARC) provides animal related technical service for scientists., such as holding and breeding of laboratory animal, purification of laboratory animal, cryopreservation and recovery of embryo and sperm, quality testing, behavior testing and animal model of diseases.


The first phase of laboratory animal facilities (barrier environment) covers an area of 1400 square meters. The facility is equipped with individually ventilated cages, cage & rack washer, cabinet washer, bottle system, pulsating vacuum sterilizer, cage changing station,high-throughput xenon ray pass box, biological safety cabinet and other feeding related equipment. The experimental functional area is equipped with stereotaxic apparatus, small animal anesthesia machine, living animal imaging instrument and other equipment. LARC exists to promote animal welfare and use in support of CIBR’s research goals through compliance with the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.
