“Beinao-1” GCP Multicenter Clinical Trial Officially Launched

On October 18, 2025, the multicenter GCP clinical trial of “Beinao-1” was officially launched, marking a major step forward in China’s brain–computer interface (BCI) research. At the launch ceremony, Academician Zhao Jizong of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Zhang Zegong, Party Secretary and Deputy Director of CIBR, Academician Jiang Tao and Party Secretary Jia Wang of Tiantan Hospital, Zhao Guoguang, President of Xuanwu Hospital, and Chen Liang, Director of Huashan Hospital, jointly pressed the launch button.

The event symbolizes China’s move toward a new phase of standardized and large-scale clinical validation in the field of BCI research.
