CIBR release: A Scientometric Review of Global Research on Brain-like Intelligence (2010-2021)

CIBR recently released its original scientometric review of the global R&D on brain-like intelligence from 2010 to 2021. Based on the data collected from SCIE and INNOGRAPHY databases, the report analyzed the overall trend, main forces and research topics in brain-like intelligence worldwide respectively from the dimensions of time, countries/institutes, and highly cited publications/patents.

This report belongs to the “Chinese & International Frontier Advances in Brain Science” research project initiated by CIBR in May, 2021. The project is operated by the Scientific Research Department, received strong supports from experts from CIBR and co-built national research institutes on the analyses of global brain projects, key research areas, leading institutes, policies and regulations, etc. At present, 7 studies have been completed and the project is still in progress. Results are expected to guide the future direction of CIBR as well as provide references for the formulation of relevant policies and plans for future brain research.
