Research in the Rao Laboratory is focused on Molecular Neurobiology,taking interdisciplinary approaches of molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, chemical analysis, electrophysiology and modern optical imaging to study molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying biological processes in the nervous and related systems.

Position: Research Assistant


Job Description:


1. Mouse colony management, establishment of disease models, and phenotypic analysis related to corresponding research projects.

2. Assist in managing laboratory reagents and consumables to support daily laboratory operations.

3. Carry out other tasks as assigned by the lab.


Requirements:


1. Undergraduate or graduate students with academic background in chemical biology, molecular biology, pharmacology, or related fields;

2. Strong practical skills, proficient in experiments such as molecular cloning, Western blotting, and cell culture;

3. Hands-on experience with stereotaxic intracranial injection in mice, pathological tissue sectioning, and staining;

4. Excellent learning ability, sense of responsibility, and communication skills, capable of proactively fulfilling tasks assigned within the research group;

5. Minimum commitment of one year for stable work arrangements.
