NEJM｜Chemogenetic Neuromodulation for Refractory Epilepsy｜Minmin Luo Lab

On November 5, 2026, a first-in-human study of chemogenetic neuromodulation, conducted in collaboration by the team led by Professor Zhao Guoguang at Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University, the team led by Professor Luo Minmin at the Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing (CIBR), and GenAns Biotechnology Co., Ltd., was published in The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) under the title “Chemogenetic Neuromodulation for Refractory Epilepsy.” Professors Luo Minmin and Zhao Guoguang served as co-senior authors. The study was also highlighted in a News in Nature.
